Hope calvary
organisation overview
Hope Calvary works to better the lives of children whose parents are in correctional facilities in Zimbabwe by providing need-based support programs that focus on education, livelihood, psychosocial help, and Social re-integration. Mass incarceration has devastated communities and ripped families apart, and that parental incarceration is a traumatic experience for both children and adults.
Hope Calvary’s main goal is to be an oasis of hope for children whose lives and futures are put in danger when their parents or primary guardians are incarcerated. Our work is supported by the generosity of individual donors and organizations who share our vision that no child in Zimbabwe should lose out on education, their wellbeing, and a chance for a better future because their parent or guardian has been taken away from them.
Our sole purpose and mission are to help children whose parents have been
incarcerated through a series of programs that gradually integrate them back into
society.
Our vision is to create a community that supports children of incarcerated parents
and guardians by ensuring equal access to education and opportunities.
We hold ourselves accountable to our values of Compassion, Equality and Integrity.
