Educational support

Research strongly expose the negative impact of incarcerating a child’s guardian (be it a mother of father) and how it affects their overall education. Children with incarcerated parents are less likely to finish their studies. Social stigma from their peers stands out as a big hindrance which often undermines their performance at school. Part of Hope Calvary’s education program prepares the child by immersing them in an environment that doesn’t judge, blame, or label the child. This approach is directly beneficial for it reinforces the notion that parental incarceration is not their fault. It in turn signals those around the child to refrain from the above-mentioned gestures.
